THE ARUCC NATIONAL NETWORK
Working Together To Support Learner Mobility
Canadian post-secondary institutions, application centres, and others are collaborating to
create a global credential wallet and trusted document exchange for learners.
By modernizing and creating new infrastructure,
the National Network will transform post-secondary learner mobility in Canada.
WHO WILL BENEFIT?
Learners who move into, between, and beyond our Canadian colleges, institutes, and universities
Create a National Network that supports them on this journey.
Since beginning the project, we have been determined to do just that. The National Network will provide a secure, permission-based electronic highway for official academic documents and credentials to ensure learners are served consistently, securely, efficiently, and effectively. The case for change is clear.
WHAT THE NATIONAL NETWORK WILL DO
Transform academic document and credential exchange for students and graduates of Canadian colleges, institutes, and universities
To create the National Network, we are collaborating with Canadian post-secondary institutions, provincial application centres, and others to create a country-wide solution.
Our core objectives?
Improve permission-based, trusted access and portability of learner documents and credentials.
We need to work together to achieve the following:
Provide learners greater portability and access to their documents and credentials;
Protect learners, Canadian higher education institutions, and government from increasing document fraud;
Provide faster and more efficient service to learners, employers, and governments;
Support greater labour mobility.
Canadian post-secondary institutions and their partners need to exchange learner data with each other across Canada and with trusted credential providers beyond our borders to support learners with admissions, transfer credit, and access to funding and the job market.
We need a shared solution to make this happen.
